I don’t know about you, but I still have some carrots, celery and fennel left from last week, and the first thing I’m going to do with this basket is make a batch of Homemade Vegetable Bouillon from 101 Cookbooks! I use the Food Grinder attachment on my KitchenAid mixer, but you could use a food processor as well. The recipe says it lasts for a month or so, but there’s enough salt in the mix to preserve it for a very long time! To use, add 1 tsp. of bouillon to 1 c. of hot water (or just stirfry a teaspoon in a batch of eggs or noodles or whatever you like). I gave it to my sister for her birthday last year and every special occasion, she requests another jar. Her family loves it in everything!
